THE Meteorological Services Department (MSD) on Sunday warned farmers against
early planting, as the 2023-24 rainy season is yet to begin.
In its Sunday update, the MSD said: “Early planting is only recommended for those with
means of irrigating. For better advice, please consult your local Agritex officer.”
According to the MSD, sunny days are expected across the country, at least up to the
end of this past week, with both minimum and maximum temperatures expected to rise.
